How we use cookies
Site analytics run for every visitor: we use PostHog to record page views, clicks, errors, performance and session replays (with everything you type masked) so we can keep the site working and improve it. Google Analytics, advertising measurement and chat run only if you choose “Accept all” or turn that category on under “Customize”. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. We ask again after 12 months or when this policy changes.
- Essential (always on):
qmd_consent(local storage, your choice, its date and a random consent ID),qmd_attr(first-party cookie with the campaign and page that brought you, up to 400 days), and a quote draft kept in session storage until you submit. - Site analytics (always on): PostHog (
ph_*): page views, clicks, scroll, errors, performance and session replay with all typed input masked. To object, email hello@quotemydata.com and we will exclude you. - Google Analytics (optional):
_ga,_ga_*. - Marketing: Google Ads conversion measurement (
_gcl_*). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, marketing stays off. - Chat: Intercom Messenger (
intercom-*), loaded only if you allow chat or click “Chat with us”.
Google tags run in Consent Mode: without consent they set no cookies. Each choice is recorded with its random consent ID, date and policy version (no IP address or identity) so we can show what you agreed to.
Change your choice
Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Withdrawing consent stops optional tools from that moment and removes their cookies from this site.
